I decided to offer FREE INSURANCE TIPS because of what happened to two very close friends of mine who happened to be my clients as well. One owned a Volvo Truck FL6 Model, the other a Toyota Corolla G 1.5 VVTI 2002 Model. Both vehicles were at first insured on Third Party Cover.
At the time of renewal ,the truck owner refused to insure on Comprehensive Cover because it was expensive compared to Third party Insurance Cover. The Toyota Corolla owner did not insure the car despite many renewal notice reminders. I later learnt that he had started going for work very early in the morning before Traffic Police officers could set up check points and knocked off late when Traffic Police Officers had knocked off.

Sometime later , the driver of the of the Truck failed to negotiate a curve and the truck flipped. It was extensively damaged and beyond economical to repair . The driver sustained some minor injuries. The Insurance company could not compensate him for the damage to his truck because it was insured on Third party cover and not comprehensively insured. He lost out and had to start from scratch.
FREE INSURANCE TIP 2: Cheap is Expensive
One evening the Toyota Corolla guy lost control of his vehicle and hit into another car. Both vehicles were beyond economical to repair ,and the drivers sustained major injuries. Remember He had no insurance so it meant he had to look for finances to not only replace his car but the other persons car as well( which had Third party Insurance cover only.)
FREE INSURANCE TIP 3. People Insure tings that are valuable to them and that would cost a lot of money to replace if they were stolen or damaged in some way.
The above cases are some of the reasons which prompted me to start offering Free Insurance Tips to try and educate the public on the importance of Insurance. Ignore them at your own peril.
